Who is Hearth Childcare for?
Hearth Childcare is for all children.
Whether your child is confident and outgoing, quiet and sensitive, full of energy, or needs additional support, I take the time to understand who they are, what they enjoy, and what helps them feel comfortable.

Alongside my Early Years childcare experience, I have experience supporting children with SEN and additional needs, allowing me to offer extra understanding and support when a child needs it.
Every child deserves to feel understood, respected and comfortable in their care. Whether your child needs reassurance, additional support, or simply someone who takes the time to really get to know them, Hearth Childcare is here to support them as an individual.
Where a child has specific medical, developmental or additional needs, I will discuss these with their family beforehand to understand what support is required and whether I can safely and appropriately provide it.

I believe children learn, grow and explore best when they feel safe and secure first. That's why building trust and a genuine connection with each child is at the heart of my approach.
Behaviour is communication.
Rather than simply correcting behaviour, I look at what a child may be trying to communicate — whether they're overwhelmed, frustrated, worried, tired or need extra support.
I respond with calm, patience and understanding, helping children feel heard while gently supporting them through difficult moments.
The result? A child who feels safe, understood and confident enough to explore, learn and grow at their own pace.
The Story Behind Hearth Childcare
My experience began in busy nursery environments, where I naturally became someone children and colleagues could turn to during busy or overwhelming moments. As a Deputy Room Lead, I developed a calm, reassuring approach and built strong, trusting relationships with children, parents and the wider team.
I have always had a strong instinct for recognising when a child is unsettled and what might help them feel comfortable again. I pay attention to their individual cues and respond with patience, reassurance and understanding.
Over time, I realised I wanted to use this strength in a more personal form of childcare, where I can give each child my full attention, patience and care in the comfort of their own home.
The name Hearth comes from the traditional meaning of the word — the heart of the home. For generations, the hearth was a place of warmth and comfort, where families gathered, shared everyday life and felt a sense of belonging.
I chose the name because that feeling is at the heart of what I want to provide: warm, dependable childcare that brings a sense of comfort, familiarity and care into your child's own home.

Alongside my childcare experience, I bring additional knowledge and training that allows me to understand and support children as individuals.
My qualifications and experience include:
Level 3 Childcare Qualification
Level 2 Health & Social Care
Paediatric First Aid (PFA) Certified
Enhanced DBS checked and on the Update Service
Deputy Room Lead experience
SEN-focused experience and training
I also have experience working in a specialist school environment, strengthening my understanding of children with additional needs.
But above all, I want parents to have peace of mind knowing their child is not simply being supervised, but is being cared for, understood and supported as an individual.
